Just in time for ballot counting, fifth wheel press published my nonet, "
Who to Blame" (which opens with "Politics is a blame game"), in
light 'em up, a digital anthology "about fire and burning and rebirth just as much as it is about resistance and survival."
Editor nat raum asks those who read
light 'em up to "remember that anger can be power, and that stored, collective power leads to liberation."
fifth wheel press, an independent community-focused publisher, features art and writing by queer, trans, and gender variant creatives.
Panoplyzine selected my Fibonacci poem, "
Mourning" for the November 1-7 Editors' Choice. (Cover Image: Photo by Amanda Pope)
Fibonacci poems are based on the Fibonacci mathematical sequence: each line has the number of syllables that are the sum of the previous two lines. Although named after an Italian mathematician, the sequence was first described by Indian mathematicians a millennia earlier.
Panoplyzine, a literary zine featuring "a wide-ranging and impressive array of writing", offers "a fresh new look at poetry and short prose", publishing "lively new insights in creativity, outlook, perspective, and analysis."
