The short story "Watching the Door" by Joel and F.I. Goldhaber* is a finalist in the
2016 Baen Fantasy Adventure Award.
The third annual Baen award recognizes "the best piece of original short fiction that captures the spirit and tradition of such great storytellers as Larry Correia, Eric Flint, Robert E. Howard, Mercedes Lackey, Elizabeth Moon, Andre Norton, J.R.R. Tolkien and David Weber."
